Middle East: Air France announces temporary suspension of its service to Dubai

Moyen-Orient : Air France annonce suspendre temporairement sa desserte vers Dubaï

Air France has suspended its flights to Dubai following the worsening situation in the Middle East, particularly in Iran. Two flights were already cancelled on Friday, as well as two return flights scheduled for Saturday.

Air France announced Friday evening the "temporary" suspension of its service to Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, due to the geopolitical situation in the Middle East, according to a statement sent to AFP.

"Due to the current situation in the Middle East, the company has decided to temporarily suspend its service to Dubai," the company said, adding that it is "constantly monitoring the evolving geopolitical situation in the territories served and overflown by its aircraft" in order to ensure "the highest level of safety and security" for its flights.

Flights already cancelled Friday evening

This decision led to the cancellation of two Paris-Dubai flights, AF660 and AF658, on Friday. Consequently, two Dubai-Paris flights scheduled for Saturday on the same aircraft were also cancelled.

“Air France is monitoring the situation in real time and will communicate further details regarding its schedule at a later date,” the airline added, reiterating the “absolute imperative” of ensuring the safety of its customers and crews. This decision was made in a context where the United States has maintained pressure on Iran and where Donald Trump stated on Thursday that an American naval “armada” was en route to the Gulf.

Air France suspend aussi ses dessertes de l'Afrique Centrale parce que le Niger lui refuse son espace aérien. La France souffre atrocement, mais c'est c'est bien couvert par les médias. On verra jusqu'à quand.

Qu'est ce que sa change à la suspension de la desserte de l'Afrique Centrale ? Rien, mais cela affiche ta colère sans solution.
