The latter attributed his death to Israeli strikes, although UEFA, in its message praising the player's talent, did not mention the circumstances of his death.
Salah responded with a direct message: "Can you tell us how he died, where, and why?" It quickly sent shockwaves through the air. With more than 13,000 reactions, 132,000 reposts, and 18 million views in just a few hours, his stance highlights a growing controversy. This intervention, which echoes his previous statements against the violence in Gaza, risks amplifying the debate surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the attitude of international sporting bodies in the face of this crisis.
