« New York a besoin d’aide » : le cri d’alerte d’une femme agressée sexuellement en pleine rue par un multirécidiviste
Amelia Lewis was assaulted by a homeless man who has been arrested 16 times, notably for sexual assault, groping, and even murder. On TikTok, she shares a poignant testimony and alerts the authorities.
Similar attacks are on the rise. On Monday morning, December 1st, a New York University student was violently assaulted by a man in the street while walking to class. Filmed by a surveillance camera, the video of the incident was posted on social media, and the young woman, Amelia Lewis, recounted it on her TikTok account. "As I was walking, with my headphones on, listening to music, I felt something slap me really hard, literally on the butt," she began.
"Oh my God, that hurts so much!"
That day, she was walking alongside some friends when her attack began: "And I thought to myself, 'Oh my God, that hurts so much!' I thought it was one of my friends. I was going to turn around and say to him, 'Oh, that hurts so much, why did you do that?'" she explains.
Actually, it wasn't a classmate, but a passerby. "When I turned around, I saw this white man. And right then, he grabbed my hair like this, pulled me, and threw me to the ground. My headphones shattered. I was on the ground and I saw him run away."
