Kayar : Après le dealer Baye Fall, son fournisseur arrêté avec 7,5 kg de drogue
The Kayar territorial gendarmerie brigade is continuing its offensive against drug trafficking in the area. After neutralizing a notorious dealer last October, investigators have now dismantled his supply network, with the arrest of his supplier and an accomplice.
It all goes back to last October, when the gendarmes made a major bust by arresting a notorious trafficker named Baye Fall, in possession of 25 kg of Indian hemp. This significant seizure marked the beginning of a vast operation to dismantle the network.
Determined to trace the network, the investigators continued their inquiries. This led them to receive crucial information about a notorious trafficker who supplied dealers between Bambilor and Bayakh.
It was in this context that the gendarmes organized a major operation. On November 1st, they intercepted A. Sarr, 42 years old, in the act of possessing 7.5 kg of drugs. The suspected supplier of Baye Fall was arrested along with his accomplice, M. Ndiaye, who was driving the motorcycle used to transport the narcotics.
At the end of the investigation, the three suspected traffickers were brought before the High Court of Thiès.
In total, this network was dismantled with the seizure of around thirty kilograms of Indian hemp, thus dealing a severe blow to drug trafficking in the area.
The gendarmerie company of Thiès reaffirms its determination to continue the fight against narcotics and to dismantle the networks that fuel this illicit trade in its sector.
