Russie : Le passe-temps de l’ex-président syrien Bachar al-Assad, à Moscou
Former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, ousted from power in late 2024 by a lightning offensive led by Ahmed al-Sharaa, now lives in exile in Moscow with his family. According to the Daily Mail, they are housed in a 300-meter-long luxury tower block with a shopping mall at its foot.
Bashar al-Assad reportedly spends his days playing online video games. He also stays at his country villa outside the Russian capital. A private security company, paid for by the Russian government, reportedly provides his security.
The new president reportedly asked Putin to extradite Al-Assad
His wife, Asma, is suffering from cancer. Yesterday, Wednesday, October 15, the new Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa visited Russia. He met with Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin and reportedly requested the extradition of al-Assad. The two also discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation between Moscow and Damascus.
