Trois adolescentes qui s’amusaient près d’une cascade se noient alors qu’elles se filmaient (vidéo)

Three teenage girls drowned while trying to take selfies at a waterfall in the Alluri Sitharama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh state, India. The incident occurred on Thursday, April 9, in the Ananthagiri hills.

Four young girls from the village of Jambuvalasa, in the mandal of Hukumpeta, had gone on an excursion to the Mulagummi waterfall, a wooded place near Visakhapatnam.

Three of the girls entered the shallow water while the fourth filmed them. They can be seen laughing and having fun before one of them suddenly ventures a little further and disappears underwater. Her friends rushed to her aid, but they too disappeared beneath the surface.

According to police, the girls were on slippery rocks near the waterfalls when they lost their balance and fell into the water. Authorities indicated that none of them knew how to swim, which worsened the situation as they were swept away by the current.

The video appears to show their friend, who is filming, rushing into the water shouting for help after her friends are pulled underwater. At that point, the image becomes blurry.

Residents rushed to the scene after hearing cries for help and managed to rescue one of the girls, who was then taken to the hospital.

However, the other three — identified as Trisha (17), Ratnakumari (16) and Pavitra (16) — could not be saved.

Police teams then arrived at the scene and recovered the bodies.

Authorities have noted that although the waterfall may appear relatively small, the terrain is extremely slippery and the currents can be deceptively strong, making it dangerous for visitors.

Se baigner dans une cascade et s'amuser en eau vive quand on ne sait pas nager c'est juste n'importe quoi.
