Un détenu le blesse au cou : un surveillant de la prison de Rouen transporté aux urgences
On Tuesday, November 11, a prison officer at Rouen prison (Seine-Maritime) was injured by an inmate in solitary confinement. The inmate stabbed the officer in the neck and then set fire to his cell. The injured senior officer was taken to the emergency room.
An inmate placed in an isolation unit assaulted a guard at the Bonne-Nouvelle prison in Rouen (Seine-Maritime) on the morning of Tuesday, November 11, 2025. When a chief brigadier went to his cell, due to repeated disturbances, the prisoner "suddenly pulled his arm [out of the door hatch], armed with a blade, aiming directly at the jugular of the prison officer," who had come to see what was happening.
"A tragedy narrowly averted"
In a press release, the FO Justice Union of Rouen emphasized that "thanks to his quick thinking and composure, the brigadier narrowly averted a tragedy," dodging blows as best he could. With the support of a colleague from the disciplinary unit, he managed "to close the trapdoor with some difficulty."
