Un petit garçon américain meurt après s’être coincé la tête avec la vitre d’une voiture, sa mère « dormait » sur le siège avant
Seven-year-old Mazi Simmons died after being found unresponsive in a car. His mother, accused of murder, was arrested last Monday.
On April 6, police were called to a home in Atlanta, Georgia, shortly before 9:30 a.m. A 7-year-old child named Mazi Simmons was "found unresponsive," according to an arrest warrant obtained by People .
Investigators found the boy in the back seat of his mother's vehicle , his head wedged between the rolled-up window and the interior of the car, suffocating him. The child was "sitting next to his two younger siblings," according to the arrest warrant.
On Monday, September 29, the children's mother, Kandice Grace, 32, was arrested after a four-month investigation, with investigators concluding that her negligence led to the boy's death. She is charged with second-degree murder and second-degree child cruelty in connection with her son's death .
Police said the boy was "unconscious, unresponsive, and not breathing" when he was discovered, according to a press release from the Atlanta Police Department. He was taken to the hospital, where medical personnel pronounced him dead. According to the arrest warrant, Kandice Grace was also in the vehicle, "passed out in the driver's seat," allegedly from drugs.

"While she was passed out in the driver's seat, Mazi got stuck in the rear window," the document states.
A witness told police that the mother had stopped at his house after 10 p.m. the previous evening. She reportedly left the children in the car because she didn't want them inside, then drove off shortly after.
The witness said that the next morning, he left his home and saw Kandice Grace's vehicle in the parking lot. He added that "the 7-year-old's head was hanging out the window," according to the warrant, and that "he began banging on the car to wake Ms. Grace."
When investigators arrived, Kandice Grace was at a neighbor's house with her youngest child. "Investigators attempted to speak with Ms. Grace, but she continued to pass out while sitting and holding her child," the warrant states.
A search warrant was obtained to conduct blood and urine tests, which tested positive for opiates and THC, according to the warrant. Kandice Grace is currently being held at the Fulton County Jail.

Yalla ngui lay deggue
