During a public meeting with employees of his foundation on Tuesday, American billionaire Bill Gates apologized for associating with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. "Spending time with Epstein was a grave mistake." He also acknowledged that it was a "huge mistake" to have brought Gates Foundation executives to meetings with Epstein, admitting the harm done to his philanthropic organization.
"To be clear, I never spent any time with the victims, the women who surrounded him."

He says he never spent the night at Epstein's house or visited his private island, but admits to having travelled with him to New York, Washington, Germany and France.
The Microsoft co-founder admits to also having extramarital affairs with Russian women who were not among Jeffrey Epstein's victims.
A bridge player and an astrophysicist
The first is a "Russian bridge player met at tournaments" and the second is a "Russian nuclear physicist met in the course of her professional activities".
As a reminder, his wife Melinda filed for divorce in 2021 after more than twenty years of marriage.
