Venezuela: tremblement de terre de 6,2 dans l'ouest et ressenti à Caracas
An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale struck western Venezuela on Wednesday, September 24, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS), and was felt in Caracas.
The epicenter was located 24 kilometers from Mene Grande, an oil-producing town, in a sparsely populated area of the western state of Zulia, near Lake Maracaibo, according to the USGS. It shook buildings in Caracas and Maracaibo, among others, AFP journalists and witnesses reached by telephone reported.
