Accusé de viol et de pédophilie sur une fille de 7 ans : Il se défend en parlant de cours à domicile
JE Dindy, 32, a port security guard residing in Jaxaay, married and father of one, appeared before the Dakar Criminal Court on February 17, 2026, in a morals case. Placed in pretrial detention on December 7, 2022, he is accused of rape and pedophilia against a minor girl.
The case, adjourned until March 3, 2026 for the appearance of the civil party, dates back to November 2022. L. Daffé had filed a complaint against EJ Dindy alias "Baba" for sexual abuse committed on his minor daughter, F. Daffé.
During the investigation, the complainant explained that his daughter lived with her maternal grandmother, who passed away in August 2022. After the funeral, his daughter came to live with him at his home in Keur Massar. He explained that he had noticed his daughter always kept her cell phone on silent. He questioned her about this unusual behavior, but to no avail.
The father explained that during this period, his wife informed him that the young man frequently called their child at late hours and sometimes early in the morning during his school days.
Armed with this information, L. Daffé stated that he conducted his own investigation and ultimately discovered that his daughter had listed Baba in her phone under the pseudonym "pedophile." He then questioned his daughter, who finally revealed that Baba had begun having sexual relations with her since she was 11 years old. In concluding his statement, the complainant declared that he believed his daughter's testimony, since the accused had moved to Jaxaay to be near her and continue to satisfy his desires.
"When I was 7, he would take me out onto the terrace."
During questioning by investigators, the victim, F. Daffé, stated that JE Dindy, known as "Baba," was considered an adopted son by her grandmother's family. He lived with them in the Sicap Liberté 4 neighborhood. The young girl added that at the age of seven, Baba would often take her to the terrace when family members were away and touch her genitals. It was at the age of eleven that Baba abused her in her bedroom. He had deceived the family, pretending to be tutoring her.
Since then, he has turned the minor into a sex object. She couldn't report him because, she says, Baba beat her under the pretext that she had done something wrong.
Her ordeal continued even after she joined her father in Jaxaay.
Gynecological examinations carried out on November 15, 2022 on the girl revealed the presence of multiple old hymenal tears.
When questioned, JE Dindy denied the allegations. He stated that he was friends with an uncle of F. Daffé's daughter when they lived in the Grand-Yoff housing project. He explained that this genuine friendship led the family matriarch to adopt him. This also allowed him to continue living with them in Liberté 4, Médina, and Mbao until his marriage in 2020.
In his denials, he claimed instead that he was helping the girl socially by buying her school supplies and providing her with private lessons.
At the end of the investigation, JE Dindy was taken to the Dakar prosecutor's office where the judge of the 7th chamber charged him with rape and pedophilia.
