As the investigation continues with further hearings, the family of Aziz Dabala is breaking its silence. In Pikine, the relatives of the artist, murdered in his Technopole apartment, are insistently demanding the removal of the seals placed on the scene of the crime and the return of his personal belongings, which have been inaccessible since the incident.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Mamadou Bâ, known as Modou, the deceased's older brother, explained to L'Observateur that this action is not intended to seize the artist's belongings, but rather to alleviate the pain and allow the grieving process to begin. He believes that the inability to access the apartment, where clothing, mementos, and personal documents are kept, prolongs the trauma and prevents the family from "turning the page, even symbolically."
Refusing to comment on ongoing court summonses, the family is focusing its request on this petition which it considers essential.
