Affaire Borom Mizane : le marabout reste libre
The Indictment Division of the Dakar Court of Appeal ruled last Thursday, September 11, upholding the provisional release of Mame Cheikh Fall, better known as Borom Mizane. The court thus overruled the prosecution, which had appealed the investigating judge's order calling for his imprisonment, reports Les Échos.
However, the same source reports, the healer is not out of the woods yet. The prosecution still has six days to appeal and request his imprisonment.
As a reminder, the famous marabout, very active on TikTok, is being prosecuted for alleged statutory rape and rape followed by pregnancy. The plaintiff, the daughter of one of his patients, accuses him of having bewitched and raped her while she was going to his house to collect medication intended for her mother, who was suffering from mental illness.
