Affaire du policier blessé à Guédiawaye : Le lutteur Dame Junior placé sous contrôle judiciaire
Wrestler Dame Junior was charged on Thursday, December 18, and then placed under judicial supervision by the investigating judge of the 1st chamber, according to Seneweb sources.
The urban security unit of the central police station in Guédiawaye brought him before the court last Tuesday for obstructing police operations and harboring criminals.
Prosecutor Saliou Dicko, head of the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office, requested the opening of a judicial investigation. Dame Junior has thus been released and placed under judicial supervision, after being twice referred back to the prosecutor's office.
As a reminder, on Friday, December 12, the Guédiawaye Central Police Station's urban security investigation unit, on routine patrol, received information reporting that individuals belonging to wrestler Dame Junior's entourage were assaulting passersby near the Dial Mbaye roundabout. Two suspects, tailor S. Camara and ceiling installer A. Ba, both 25 years old and residents of Wakhinane, were arrested in the act of assault.
It was at this point that the wrestler Dame Junior's brother violently resisted arrest. According to the police, he brandished a knife at the officers of the BR (Brigade de Répression du Banditisme - Brigade for the Repression of Violence). He and his gang fiercely resisted the police, who eventually apprehended him. Dame Junior then joined the fray, and taking advantage of the confusion, his brother fled.
It was during this confrontation that Officer SD, head of the Guédiawaye Urban Security Brigade, was seriously wounded in the abdomen with a bladed weapon and hospitalized at King Baudouin Hospital. The bladed weapon used in the attack was seized and confiscated by investigators for the purposes of the investigation. He was in the final stages of preparation for his fight scheduled for Sunday, December 21st, at the National Arena.
