Affaire Madiambal Diagne et Pape Malick Ndour : Alioune Tine dénonce un grave dysfonctionnement administratif
A guest on Seneweb's Ultimatum program, Alioune Tine, founder of the Afrikajom Center, responded to the case involving Madiambal Diagne and Pape Malick Ndour, both of whom were prevented from leaving the country without prior notification of an exit ban. For the human rights defender, this episode illustrates a serious administrative malfunction that casts doubt on the rigor of the institutions. "They were both at the airport because there was a malfunction in the administration. There was a delay in transmitting information, and that is deplorable," he stressed.
Alioune Tine recalled that, in a state governed by the rule of law, any measure restricting freedom must be clearly notified to the person concerned. "As long as this country applies the law in strict compliance with the rule of law and due process, all those who love justice will be in sync," he declared.
Referring to the case of journalist Madiambal Diagne, he added: "In Madiambal's place, especially with his status, I don't think he would have tried to escape. The problem lies in administrative delays and a lack of coordination." Finally, Alioune Tine called for a thorough reform of the judicial and administrative system to prevent such errors from recurring. "We need systemic reform, consistent with the principles of the rule of law and the dignity of citizens," he concluded.
