Affaire PRODAC : Ousmane Sonko, Yassine Fall et Cheikh Diba visés, les détails de la plainte de Mame Mbaye Niang
As announced by his lawyers, Mame Mbaye Niang has filed a complaint with the public prosecutor against Ousmane Sonko, Yassine Fall, and Cheikh Diba, respectively the Prime Minister, the Minister of Justice, and the Minister of Finance and Budget. The newspaper Les Échos, which broke the story, reveals that the first two are accused of forgery, criminal conspiracy, and attempted fraud, while the third will face charges of forgery. The newspaper specifies that the plaintiff is also suing persons unknown for complicity in these charges.
By filing this complaint, Mame Mbaye Niang is responding to the Minister of Justice, who has petitioned the Supreme Court for a review of her case against the Prime Minister, convicted of defamation. The former minister under Macky Sall asserts that the report by the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF) on the management of the PRODAC program, considered the new element that prompted Yassine Fall to appeal to the High Court, is false. According to him, it is a preliminary report whose conclusions were never submitted due to the death of the head of the audit team, Samba Laobé Fall, before the mission was completed. He claims that Sonko used his position as Prime Minister to force Cheikh Diba to validate the preliminary report years later, in order to use it to his own advantage.
"It was this false report that Ousmane Sonko gave to Yassine Fall, who used it, taking it as new evidence to request a review of the trial. These acts constitute the offenses of criminal association, forgery and use of forged documents, and attempted fraud in court proceedings."
