CHAMBRE CRIMINELLE DE THIÈS : Cinq prévenus condamnés à la réclusion criminelle à perpétuité
The judge of the Criminal Chamber of the Thiès High Court delivered his verdict in cases involving criminal conspiracy, nighttime robbery, rape, illegal possession of weapons resulting in death, and possession of marijuana. The hearing was held on December 9, 2025, and involved the nine defendants: A. Sow, M. Ka, M. Sow, A. Ka, AR Diop, A. Ba, AK Sow, P. Sow, and D. Sow.
They are accused of burglarizing the farm of the plaintiff, A. Sall, an emigrant who had recently returned from the United States, then raping his wife, M.R. Ndiaye, before fatally shooting Mr. O. Bassène, who had come to their aid. These events took place during 2021.
In court, A. Sow, a former employee at the farm, admitted to stealing a water pump belonging to A. Sall, along with A. Diop and AK Sow, but claimed that this theft preceded the burglary. The other defendants all denied the accusations before the judge, although some had confessed during the preliminary investigation.
The prosecutor found A. Sow, A. Diop, and AB Sow guilty of stealing the water pump and requested a five-year prison sentence. The prosecution then found A. Sow, D. Sow, M. Ka, P. Sow, and D. Sow guilty of conspiracy, nighttime theft, and use of a weapon resulting in the death of O. Bassène, and requested life imprisonment for them.
The defense argued that no tangible evidence could incriminate the accused in relation to the burglary and the rape.
The criminal court delivered its verdict today. It acquitted Mr. Sow, P. Sow, A. Sow and AK Sow, and sentenced the five other defendants to life imprisonment.

De nos jours nous avons de plus en plus de grands bandits dans ce pays. Il faut faire revenir la peine de mort et exécuter des criminels de ce genre. Ils choisi de vivre en marge de la société et de tuer quand ils en ont l'opportunité. Tuons-les et l'Etat n'aura pas à dépenser de l'argent pour les entretenir en prison.
Par ailleurs on doit faciliter l'obtention de permis de port d'armes pour les honnêtes citoyens qui sont en mesure de prouver qu'ils en ont besoin. J'aimerais bien avoir quelques armes d'assaut chez moi pour faire face aux éventuels cambrioleurs.
