Protection de l'enfance : La Brigade de Keur Massar se dote d'une salle d'audition aux standards internationaux
As part of the partnership between the National Gendarmerie and the International Bureau for Children's Rights (IBCR), an interview room dedicated to minors was inaugurated on Wednesday at the Territorial Brigade of Keur Massar, according to Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye.
This inauguration is part of the continuation of the XALE SAMA YITE project, launched in January 2021, and represents a major step forward in the approach of the National Gendarmerie to child protection.
The event marks a structuring turning point in the way the institution conceives of judicial action and exercises its authority, placing the protection of the most vulnerable at the heart of its priorities.
The new interview room has been designed according to international standards for the protection of children's rights. It offers a safe, respectful and dignified environment, allowing children's statements to be gathered with all the attention, restraint and sensitivity that these delicate situations require.
