Plaintes contre Fadilou Keïta : Serigne Mboup à la Sûreté urbaine ce matin
The mayor of Kaolack, Serigne Mboup, and Habibou Lèye, operations director of the "Heart of the City" project in Kaolack, are expected this morning at the Dakar Urban Security (SU) headquarters. This summons aims to confirm the complaints they have filed against the director general of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC), Fadilou Keïta.
According to L'Observateur, which reported the information, this hearing is part of an investigation opened following a "referral from the Dakar prosecutor's office." "Public insults, defamation, and the dissemination of false news": these are the charges brought against the head of the CDC.
In their requests, the two plaintiffs denounce remarks they consider outrageous, made during a television program broadcast on the Senegal 7 channel. The mayor of Kaolack notably accuses Fadilou Keïta of having described the management of the "Heart of the City" project as "opaque" and in need of an audit.
This step marks the beginning of the investigation, pending the hearing of the Pastef official announced "in the coming days", the same source adds.
