Confessions de Doudou Lamine Dieng : «Mes relations avec Pape Cheikh Diallo et Djiby Dramé...»
Originally scheduled for last Monday, Doudou Lamine Dieng's substantive hearing finally took place this Wednesday. Before the investigating judge of the Pikine/Guédiawaye court, the banker denied the charges against him in the Pape Cheikh Diallo and associates case.
Presented as the lover of presenter and singer Djiby Dramé, he was placed under arrest warrant at the same time as the latter, and others implicated, for association of criminals, unnatural act, voluntary transmission of HIV and money laundering.
Doudou Lamine Dieng "defended himself well and said he had nothing to do with the events," reports Les Échos, citing its sources. These sources elaborated: "He denied the statements attributed to him during the investigation. He even said he had absolutely nothing to reproach himself for."
The newspaper adds that the banker asserted that he had "nothing but friendly relations" with Pape Cheikh Diallo and Djiby Dramé.
In statements he allegedly made during the preliminary investigation, Doudou Lamine Dieng identified the radio host and the singer as his lovers. These supposed confessions led to their arrest.
Heard before the banker, Pape Cheikh Diallo denied the charges that led to his detention. This was a complete reversal of his confession to the gendarmes of the Keur Massar Research Brigade, though he did not sign the official record of the hearing.
