Conflit autour de la maison de l’ISEG : Aïssatou Seydi et Mamadou Diop jugés le 6 novembre
The case opposing Mamadou Diop ISEG to his ex-wife Aïssatou Seydi and Mamadou Ba has taken a new turn. Following the public prosecutor's final indictment, the investigating judge of the 8th chamber issued a committal order on September 2, 2025, referring the case to the criminal court. The case concerns the building located at number 9023 in the Sicap Sacré-Coeur neighborhood, where Mamadou Diop was evicted on July 24, 2025.
According to Seneweb, the trial is scheduled for November 6, 2025. The defendants are being prosecuted for criminal conspiracy, fraud, breach of trust, forgery and use of forged official documents and administrative papers, as well as complicity in fraud and forgery. They are also accused of embezzling 840 million CFA francs from the ISEG Economic Interest Group (GIE), headed by Mamadou Diop. The alleged offenses took place between 2011 and 2021.
At the time, Aïssatou Seydi, then Mamadou Diop's wife, received the sum as a mandate. However, after being formally notified, she was unable to return the funds, prompting Mamadou Diop, president of ISEG, to take legal action against her. ISEG filed a complaint in 2020 after discovering that Aïssatou Seydi, with the complicity of Mamadou Ba from the AGEPI real estate agency, had transferred ownership of the house to her name, even though the checks had been issued by the ISEG Economic Interest Group (GIE).
Arrested in January 2021 , Ms. Seydi confessed to the crimes during the preliminary investigation and before the investigating judge. She had already lost a property dispute lawsuit brought against her ex-husband.
Arrested again in 2023, after the appointment of a new investigating judge, Aïssatou Seydi was placed in pretrial detention before being granted provisional release under judicial supervision. Despite this, she continued to claim ownership of the house, even succeeding in having Mamadou Diop evicted.
Unless it is referred, the case will be debated this Thursday before the judge of the Dakar criminal court.
