Association de malfaiteurs : 3 mois de prison requis contre sept individus arrêtés à Mont-Rolland
Two Guinean nationals, A. Diallo and AP Diallo, a Bissau-Guinean, L. Diallo, as well as four Senegalese, C. Diouf, M. Mbengue, A. Dia and O. Ciss, are being prosecuted for criminal association, theft of goats, offering or transferring Indian hemp and illegal possession of weapons.
According to the investigation, the suspects were arrested in the village of Ndiaye Bopp, in the municipality of Mont-Rolland. They were in possession of 500 grams of Indian hemp, several joints, solvent, machetes, and goats that had been reported stolen.
The gendarmes raided the premises following a tip-off about suspicious trafficking in the town of Ndiaye Bopp. The operation resulted in the seizure of illicit goods and incriminating equipment.
In court, the seven defendants all contested the accusations against them, denying any involvement in the events they are accused of.
For the public prosecutor, the facts of criminal association and illegal possession of weapons are consistent and sufficiently established.
Regarding the theft of goats and the offering or transfer of Indian hemp, the prosecution requested that they be reclassified as receiving stolen goods and possession and use of Indian hemp.
Believing that the defendants were guilty of all the charges retained after reclassification, the public prosecutor requested a sentence of three months imprisonment for each of the accused.
The court has taken the case under advisement to decide their fate.
