Dakar : L'OCRTIS arrête le trafiquant de drogue dure “Tapha Ndiol”

On November 11, 2025, at approximately 5:15 p.m., the Dakar Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS), under the jurisdiction of the Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS), received an anonymous tip regarding the presence of a network active in trafficking hard drugs, particularly crack cocaine. Given the seriousness of the intelligence, an investigation was immediately launched to identify the network members and determine the extent of their activities, according to Seneweb sources.

On the same day, thanks to an undercover agent within the brigade, a test purchase operation was organized to establish the credibility of the main suspect, known as “Tapha Ndiol.” According to investigators, he was a lieutenant of O. Diop, alias Keuz, an influential trafficker currently in custody. “Tapha Ndiol” was clearly continuing his mentor's illicit activities in the same sector.

The operation resulted in the acquisition of three rocks of crack cocaine worth a total of 30,000 CFA francs, which were delivered to Ben Tally by the suspect. These three doses were recorded as evidence, confirming the suspect's involvement.

The investigation continued, and on November 17, 2025, the source who provided the initial information alerted investigators again: “Tapha Ndiol” had allegedly received one kilogram of cocaine, which he was selling in a furnished room in Gadaye (Guédiawaye). After locating and monitoring the premises, investigators confirmed his presence and decided to launch a new operation.

An order for 10 grams of cocaine, worth 200,000 CFA francs, was placed with the suspect, who was to deliver the merchandise near the Port of Dakar. When “Tapha Ndiol,” now identified as MM Diallo, born in 2005 and claiming to be a restaurant owner residing in Ben Tally, arrived at the meeting point, he was apprehended before he could swallow the drugs to conceal them.

At the time of his arrest, he had 15,000 CFA francs and an iPhone 16 in his possession. A subsequent search of the furnished room he occupied in Gadaye proved unsuccessful.

Taken to Dakar's Principal Hospital on medical requisition to check for possible drug ingestion, no foreign body was detected in his body.

The suspect was eventually taken into custody for offering or supplying hard drugs (crack).
