Diffamation : le coordonnateur du CIAAS, Omar Dramé, face à la Directrice du CSAR
The coordinator of the Interministerial Collective of Senegalese Administrative Agents (CIAAS), Omar Dramé, will be in court. He has been summoned to the Dakar High Court this Wednesday, February 25, 2026. This new summons follows two postponements.
He was accused of defamation by the Director of the Food Security and Resilience Commission (CSAR), Marieme Soda Ndiaye, following a press release published in February 2025 denouncing the unfair dismissal of 10 CSAR workers, including eight women, all with permanent contracts.
However, the CIAAS coordinator pointed out that the dispute was settled amicably at the Labour Inspectorate level, and the workers' entitlements were fully paid by the general management.
Omar Dramé reaffirmed his commitment to union activity in defending the material and moral interests of workers, as demonstrated by the cases of the 44 dismissed employees of the Ministry of Mines, the employees of Sonaged and Nono Crédit at the DER, and the ongoing fight for housing allowances for 16,000 government employees. Therefore, he asserted that any attempt to silence him in his union activities would be doomed to failure.
