Diffusion de fausses nouvelles : Simon Faye (D-Media) définitivement blanchi par la justice
Pursuant to Article 177 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the judge of the 3rd chamber of the Dakar Court issued a dismissal order in favor of journalist Simon Faye, editor-in-chief of SenTV and Zik FM, according to his lawyer, Me Alioune Badara Fall.
Simon Faye was charged in April 2025 with spreading false news. The order, issued on March 31, 2026, was served on him.
The journalist was arrested by the General Affairs Brigade (BAG) following the publication of an article on a D-Media group platform. The article suggested that the Prime Minister might be summoned by the President of Ivory Coast.
