Fatou Kiné Cissé libérée : la Cour d’appel réduit sa peine à trois mois ferme
The director of Tahar Projects has been released from prison. Fatou Kiné Cissé had been sentenced on August 21 to two years in prison, one year of which was suspended, for spreading false news and discrediting the National Gendarmerie.
Following this decision by the Dakar court, his lawyers appealed to the Dakar Court of Appeal.
"His case was argued two weeks ago. The sentence was reduced to three months in prison. It was extended following the decision of the Dakar Court of Appeal," says a source close to the case contacted by Seneweb.
She had already served three months in prison.
As a reminder, Fatou Kiné Cissé had raised concerns about the security of President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye and his Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, making serious accusations against a Gendarmerie officer. These statements led to her arrest by the Colobane Research Section.
