Cité Fayçal : la SOGEPA subit un nouveau revers devant la Cour suprême
The occupants of the Cité Fayçal villas have won a second victory against SOGEPA before the Supreme Court. As a reminder, Libération reports, SOGEPA had initially sent the occupants notices terminating their leases, giving them six months to vacate the premises. The occupants then filed an interim relief application with the Supreme Court, requesting a suspension of the eviction period.
The Supreme Court ruled in their favor on August 5, thus overturning the six-month deadline set by SOGEPA.
SOGEPA then appealed to the Supreme Court in an attempt to have this initial interim decision reversed, but the Court rejected this appeal yesterday. Despite this victory for the occupants, the Supreme Court's final decision on the appeal for abuse of power (on the merits of the case) is still awaited, the same source reported.
