Pool judiciaire financier : ce que Farba Ngom a dit au juge
The mayor and member of parliament for Agnam, Farba Ngom, was questioned on Monday by the Financial Judicial Pool (PJF) in connection with the 125 billion CFA franc case. This hearing, which lasted more than four hours, took place in a tense atmosphere, punctuated by the defendant's reportedly critical health condition.
Arriving by ambulance from the special ward of Aristide Le Dantec Hospital, Farba Ngom was confronted by the president of the panel of investigating judges, Idrissa Diarra, and a deputy prosecutor. According to his lawyer, Baboucar Cissé, the interrogation was punctuated by harrowing scenes: "Farba Ngom was struggling to breathe. At times, he was completely suffocating, forcing Judge Idrissa Diarra to grant thirty-minute breaks to allow him to take his medication," the lawyer told the press.
On several occasions, the lawyer continued, the accused fell asleep, making it impossible for him to answer questions. Despite this extreme fragility, his lawyers maintain that he insisted on responding to each question.
What Farba Ngom said behind closed doors
Faced with accusations of embezzlement of public funds (31 billion) and complicity (91 billion), Farba Ngom has adopted an offensive line of defense, centered on transparency and the total absence of links with the state coffers, adds L'Observateur.
Regarding the public treasury : as reported by the daily newspaper of the Future Media Group (GFM), the mayor of Agnam denied receiving any transfers from the Treasury or obtaining any public contracts. His response was scathing: "I don't even know the location of the Treasurer General's office." He even invited the public prosecutor's office to request information from Sonatel (the national telecommunications company) to prove that he does not possess any telephone numbers belonging to Treasury officials.
Regarding Tahirou Sarr and Sofico : When questioned about the financial flows between his companies (SCP Tidjania and Doworou) and that of businessman Tahirou Sarr, he refuted any suspicion of money laundering: "If I had wanted to do something suspicious, I would not have received transfers and checks that were entirely traceable."
Denials regarding Amadou Sall and Woodrose : Farba Ngom firmly denied any transaction with the son of former President Macky Sall. He also claimed to be unaware of the existence of the Woodrose company and to have never met its alleged managers, specifying that he only encountered some of his co-defendants while in detention at Rebeuss prison.
The anomaly raised by the defense
A major contradiction was pointed out by his lawyers, as highlighted by the Gfm headline: while the embezzlement of public funds forms the core of the charge, he was reportedly asked no direct questions about the public treasury during the four-hour interrogation. For Mr. Baboucar Cissé, this offense is merely a "fanciful pretext" intended to justify the prolonged detention, as the facts, in his view, are entirely unsubstantiated.
Farba Ngom was returned to the special wing after the hearing. The case continues tomorrow, Wednesday, December 17, with the hearing of his co-defendant, businessman Tahirou Sarr.

Je rappelle au parquet financier que libérer Farba Ngom et le laisser rentrer chez lui, c'est l'exposer à un risque d'assassinat, par la secte APR même. Rappelez-vous du décès non élucidé de Mamadou Moustapha Bâ.

garde des sceaux Aminata Touré . Farba Ngom se souviendra toujours de ses sorties
vantardes où tout ce beau monde est accusé , par lui même qui a juré avoir partagé le butin
avec des personnalités transhumants que par cupidité sinon Macky Sall lui a toujours donné carte blanche ..
Les caisses de l' état ont étaient toujours sa propre poche .. En atteste le nombre de véhicules haut de gamme
en attente dans ses différents parkings ..Pour ceux que les enquêteurs ont décelé ..Le comble : les terres de l'ancien
aéroport LSS. Et j'en passe sur le volet immobilier c'est indescriptible
