«Si Cheikh Amar et Macky Sall se sont fâchés…» : «Délégué Amar»/Cheikh Mbacké Gadiaga, un procès à 1 milliard F CFA
The Dakar criminal court called the case last Thursday between Cheikh Mbacké Gadiaga, on one side, and influencer Modou Mamoune Amar, also known as "Délégué Amar," and 7TV presenter Ibrahima Ba, aka DJ Yves, on the other. In this defamation and complicity case, as reported by Les Échos, the plaintiff (Gadiaga) is seeking one billion CFA francs in damages, arguing that the alleged facts are "serious and false" and intended to tarnish "his image and honor."
The origin of this dispute dates back to a program broadcast in 2025 on 7TV, subsequently relayed on TikTok, during which Delegate Amar allegedly accused Cheikh Mbacké Gadiaga of being the instigator of the break between businessman Cheikh Amar and former President Macky Sall.
This was not the first time the accused had targeted the plaintiff. He allegedly attributed to Cheikh Mbacké Gadiaga, on the radio program Sans Limites, the statement that "Ousmane Sonko's mother is a cannibal," and that he had "supported Adji Sarr," who had accused the Pastef party leader and Prime Minister of rape. The plaintiff denied having made such outrageous claims, calling them pure fabrications intended to harm him.
The hearing was marked by the influencer's absence. Only DJ Yves, charged as an accomplice, appeared. The court adjourned the case until May 21 for the payment of the deposit (50,000 CFA francs). The plaintiff also requested that the judgment include the maximum sentence of imprisonment for debt, the daily newspaper reports.
