« Parlons audiovisuel » : l'un traite l'autre d'« escroc international » et...
A dispute within the WhatsApp group "Let's Talk Audiovisual" has led two industry professionals to appear before the Dakar criminal court. A. Traoré, a businessman based in the United States and a member of the "Let's Talk Audiovisual" WhatsApp group, is suing A. A. Wade for defamation, public insults via the internet, threats, spreading false news, and disclosing personal data.
According to the plaintiff, his opponent allegedly disseminated videos and posts on TikTok, WhatsApp, and other social media platforms portraying him as a "swindler," a "crook," and a "thief," even going so far as to call him "the biggest con artist of the century" and an "international con artist." Traoré also accuses Wade of sharing his photo, phone number, and address in the United States.
Believing that these accusations are "serious and unfounded" and that they have damaged his reputation and professional activities, the plaintiff has decided to take legal action to obtain redress and restore his honor, reports Les Échos.
