There's a new development in the case of the woman shot dead in Keur Mbaye Fall! Her husband, the main suspect, has been charged and then placed under a detention order by the investigating judge of the 2nd chamber at the High Court of Pikine-Guédiawaye.

But his father, K. Diop, his mother, FB F, and his alleged girlfriend have been placed under judicial supervision by the investigating magistrate, according to Seneweb sources. As for Diakhoumpa, a friend of the main suspect, he has been placed under house arrest with an electronic tag.

In other words, phone salesman PM Diop will spend his first night in prison for the alleged murder of his wife, Binetou Guèye. However, his two parents, his mistress, and his friend, arrested on various charges, were released this Monday. They had been returned to the prosecutor's office several times.

As a reminder, the serious and consistent evidence gathered by the gendarmes of the Keur Massar Industrial Free Zone territorial brigade led them to favor the murder theory. Numerous inconsistencies were noted in the suspect's statements.

The victim's husband was no longer being prosecuted for manslaughter. He was now being charged with murder, illegal possession of a firearm, and lack of proper documentation for the weapon.

During his hearing, PMD, a phone salesman, stated that he had purchased the Taurus brand pistol in Saly last week. However, an examination of Bineta Guèye's phone revealed to investigators that the suspect had sent a photo of the weapon to his wife via WhatsApp on December 7th, according to Seneweb sources.

According to the results of the requisition, the analysis of the mobile phone and the testimonies collected, the crime appears to be linked to a case of jealousy.

The suspect is even said to have rented an apartment in Thiaroye on behalf of his mistress.

After the main suspect, his two biological parents were arrested for obstructing an ongoing investigation. They allegedly hid their son's phone to destroy evidence.

Thus, the alleged murderer, PMD, his father KD, his mother FBF, his friend Diakhoumpa, and his mistress were brought before a judge last Tuesday. However, Prosecutor Saliou Dicko, head of the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office, had requested the opening of a judicial inquiry to shed light on this case.
