Ndiaganiao :  Séllé Mbengue déféré au parquet pour menaces de mort sur une fille de 7 ans, détention illégale d’arme blanche et rébellion

The incident took place on the morning of Sunday, October 26, around 3 p.m., in the Ndiaye Ndiaye neighborhood, in the commune of Ndiaganiao. Sellé Mbengue, a 25-year-old farmer and disciple of Bacchus, was opposed to Arame Guèye's daughter coming to the family home to continue her studies.

Since the start of school, Sellé has been constantly ordering the young girl to leave the family home, while threatening to kill her. And despite the intervention of her uncle Dominique Faye, Sellé Mbengue has stuck to her guns.

Knowing her daughter was in danger, her mother left Saly Portudal, where she works, to file a complaint with the Ndiaganiao gendarmerie. When he refused to comply with the summons, the gendarmerie brigade raided the suspect's home. He refused to come with them. He was restrained, handcuffed, and taken to the police station. A search of his room revealed two machetes.

When questioned about the charges against him, Selle denied everything. He stated that he never threatened Arame Guèye with death.

He was brought before the Mbour public prosecutor's office for death threats against a 7-year-old girl, illegal possession of a knife and rebellion.
