Ousmane Diagne : « Ces quatre lois confirment que l’État est transparent dans la démarche »
The National Assembly experienced a legislative marathon marked by the presentation of four bills by the government. For the executive, these texts constitute a decisive step in consolidating transparency and citizen participation. "Through these four bills, the State intends to strengthen transparency, accountability, and citizen involvement, pillars considered essential for democratic governance and the rule of law."
Furthermore, "these four laws confirm that the state is transparent in its approach," declared Ousmane Diagne, Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, during the plenary session of the draft law on access to information on Tuesday. According to him, the adoption of such reforms proves that the state has nothing to hide. "When you hide something, you don't pass such laws," he insisted before the deputies.
The minister recalled that this direction responds to a strong aspiration of the Senegalese people: to be informed, but above all, to be involved in the management of public affairs. "This will of the people is being realized," he added.
