Parilutte : nouveau revers pour la Lonase, la saisie de fonds annulée par le tribunal
The Senegalese National Lottery (Lonase) has suffered a further legal setback in its dispute with the Parilutte-Parilamb Economic Interest Group (GIE). The Dakar Commercial Court has annulled the seizure of funds carried out by Lonase on the GIE's accounts due to procedural irregularities, ordering its immediate lifting and ordering the public company to pay costs, reports L'AS.
This interim judgment confirms the fragility of Lonase's position in a five-year-old dispute. In October 2023, it had already been ordered to pay 5 billion CFA francs to the EIG for non-compliance with a contract signed in 2020 relating to the management of bets linked to Senegalese wrestling.
This new legal victory, which highlights the contractual breaches of its public partner, reinforces the legitimacy of the EIG, now able to demand full execution of the sentence handed down in 2023.
