Pavillon spécial : Farba Ngom auditionné
Due to his fragile health, which prevented his transfer to the hospital, former mayor and member of parliament for Agnam, Farba Ngom, was questioned this Thursday at the Special Pavilion, according to Les Échos. The same source believes his questioning stems from a complaint he filed against the newspaper Walfadjri Quotidien and Professor Meïssa Babou.
The public prosecutor entrusted the case to the Faidherbe Research Brigade, whose investigators traveled to the place of detention to collect the complainant's testimony.
Farba Ngom has confirmed the terms of his complaint. He accuses the daily newspaper of the group founded by the late Sidy Lamine Niasse of defamation, after the newspaper claimed, in its October 13 edition, that he owned "251 plots from housing developments", "29 land titles located in the commune of Ngor-Almadies" and "land located in Burkina Faso, Benin, Ivory Coast and Togo".
The investigation is ongoing. According to the newspaper, all those involved will be interviewed in the coming days before the report is submitted to the prosecutor.
