Placed under arrest warrant in September 2024, Lat Diop's defense team is seeking a direct confrontation with Mouhamed Dieng, his accuser. According to Les Echos, his lawyers will officially file the request today with the judge of the first chamber of the Financial Judicial Pool (PJF).
The defense believes that such a confrontation is essential to shed light on the case and hopes that the request will be accepted, in the interests of fairness and transparency, the same source said.
