Escroquerie : Une femme lésée après l’achat de 95 parcelles sur un site non loti
The Criminal Chamber of the Thiès High Court examined a land dispute between the plaintiff, NF Ndiaye, and the defendant, Y. Aw. In court, NF Ndiaye stated that Y. Aw, acting in collusion with a real estate developer, had sold her 95 plots of land located in the municipality of Chérif Lo. She claimed to have paid 11 million CFA francs for the purchase of these plots.
However, after this transaction, the Directorate for Monitoring and Control of Land Use (DSCOS) intervened to notify him of the disputed nature of the site. According to his explanation, the police officers made it clear to him that the site in question had not yet been subdivided, thus rendering the sale illegal.
Feeling wronged, NF Ndiaye has taken legal action. She is claiming 16 million CFA francs in damages.
Charged with fraud, the defendant did not appear at the hearing. The public prosecutor requested that the law be applied.
The verdict is expected on April 7, 2026.
