Scandale à l’agropole Nord : Première arrestation de la section de recherches
The Saint-Louis Research Section (SR) has made a first arrest in its investigation into the management of the Agropole Nord project. On the instructions of the Saint-Louis prosecutor, Baye Thiam, the gendarmes, with the support of their colleagues in Dakar, arrested El Hadj Khassim Diouf, who at the time was the manager of the Senegalese Movement for Development (MSD), a multi-stakeholder farmers' platform.
Diouf is facing several charges, including embezzlement of public funds and fraud. According to Seneweb sources, he is expected to appear before the Saint-Louis prosecutor's office as early as Monday, September 22.
As a reminder, the Dakar financial prosecutor initially instructed the Saint-Louis SR to open a thorough investigation into the management of the Agropole Nord project. The investigations uncovered an alleged financial scandal. Inheriting the case, the Saint-Louis prosecutor's office ordered the suspect's arrest. Prosecutor Baye Thiam may even request the opening of a judicial inquiry to clarify this affair, which is already provoking strong reactions.

200%. Ils sont les responsibles de la situation du pays et recoivent 80% du budget en salaries et avantages. Les gens se bousculent pour etre fonctionnaires pas pour entrer dans le prive. Aux impots et domaines, cest des milliardaires, pareil a la douane, au tresor. La justice n est pas exclue de la liste. En fait de compte, au Senegal tout le monde est pareil, cest juste qui est en position d accuser .
