Discours contraire aux bonnes mœurs : Adji Mass condamnée

Influencer Adji Massamba Guèye (35 years old), also known as Adji Mass, appeared before the Dakar flagrante delicto court this Wednesday for making speeches contrary to public morality. Placed in custody on October 20, 2025, she had made remarks during a live stream on TikTok that were deemed offensive to public morality, prompting the public prosecutor to request her arrest.

In court, Adji Mass admitted the facts. She stated that she acted in anger and claimed to have been the victim of body shaming.

"I had surgery to change my figure, but my detractors often criticize me. The last time, a certain Jean Claude mocked me through a live stream on TikTok. I retaliated by swearing," she explained.

Questioned by the public prosecutor about the recurring nature of this behavior, the influencer admitted: "Sometimes, I insult just to create a good atmosphere." However, she regretted her comments and apologized, promising not to do it again. She also asked the court for clemency, explaining that she still suffers from complications related to her surgery: "Sometimes, I even have trouble sitting down," she confided.

In his submissions, the public prosecutor considered that public order had been shocked and disturbed by the defendant's remarks. He requested a sentence of six (6) months in prison, three (3) of which were to be served, along with a fine of 100,000 FCFA. For his part, Mr. Aboubacry Barro, defense attorney, asked the court not to follow the prosecution's logic. "The real priority is tracking down white-collar criminals," the lawyer argued, while requesting leniency from the court. According to him, his client is sincere and will respect her promise to change her behavior. He recalled that she became vulnerable following her cosmetic surgery, before producing Adji Mass's medical file in support of his plea. His colleagues, Mr. Youssoufa Camara and others, supported his defense, invoking the excuse of provocation.

In rendering its judgment, the court found Adji Mass guilty of the charges against her. The influencer was sentenced to a six-month suspended sentence and a fine of 100,000 CFA francs.
