Affaire Tabaski Ngom : Moustapha Diop placé sous contrôle judiciaire, mais reste en prison
The Financial Indictment Chamber issued a ruling in favor of Moustapha Diop in the Tabaski Ngom case on Wednesday, May 6. At the request of his lawyers, including Baboucar Cissé, the court ordered the lifting of the detention order and the placement of the mayor of Louga under judicial supervision, according to Seneweb sources.
According to the decision, Moustapha Diop is subject to three obligations: not to leave the national territory without the authorization of the investigating judge, to surrender his passport to the clerk of the investigating chamber and to appear at the chamber on the first working Monday of each month.
The court reminds that any violation of these obligations exposes the accused to placement in pre-trial detention.
However, despite this decision, the mayor of Louga will not be released. He remains incarcerated due to a separate legal proceeding related to Covid funds, in which he is still subject to an arrest warrant.
