Around 25 years old, Mr. Dia wanted to earn a living without any effort. This is why he chose to indulge in gambling. To place bets, he would beg his parents or sisters for money. If they refused, Mr. Dia would arrange to empty their Wave accounts. When his gambling was discovered, he was banned from accessing their respective phones.
A gambling addict, Mr. Dia stole valuable fabrics belonging to his father to resell. To punish him severely, his father handed him over to the police. Mr. Dia was charged with theft and placed in custody at the Thiès Criminal Investigation Department.
Before the judge of the Thiès District Court, Mr. Dia admitted to the theft of which he is accused. The prosecution requested that the law be applied. He was sentenced to one month in prison.
