Interdiction de sortie du territoire : le verdict tombe pour Mansour Faye
L'Observateur reports this Thursday that the Supreme Court has ordered the annulment of the Interior Ministry's decree of April 15, 2025, prohibiting Mansour Faye from leaving the national territory "until further notice".
The overturned decision was taken less than a month after the judge of the summary proceedings of the High Court asked the authority concerned to notify the former minister of the reasons for the restriction affecting him or, failing that, to reinstate him in his rights, on March 28 of last year.
It was following bans on boarding flights at AIBD that the brother-in-law of former President Macky Sall appealed to the Supreme Court.
By signing the decree of April 15, 2025, the Ministry of the Interior believed it had definitively thwarted his request. But it hadn't reckoned with the administrative chamber of the High Court, which reinstated the mayor of Saint-Louis in his rights, allowing him to come and go as he pleases.
