Two Teachers Assaulted in Yeumbeul: Suspects Presented to Prosecutor Saliou Dicko
On April 13, 2026, the Yeumbeul-Comico district police station, under the command of Commissioner Ousmane Diop, brought two suspects before prosecutor Saliou Dicko, head of the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office. According to Seneweb sources, they face charges of criminal conspiracy, violent group snatch theft, and use of a motor vehicle. The suspects are identified as A.D., 22, a delivery driver, and A.B., 22, an upholsterer, both residents of Yeumbeul.
Their arrest follows a series of complaints for snatch theft. On the night of March 4, 2026, around 6 a.m., a tailor named A.S. discovered his parked Jakarta brand motorcycle missing from near his sewing workshop.
On April 8, 2026, two teachers, H.F. and J.M.N.T., were violently robbed by two individuals on a Jakarta motorcycle. The assailants brutally snatched their wigs and handbags, which contained a mobile phone, a sum of money, and a Bible.
Investigations revealed that the accused regularly operated in the area between Juma Peulh Fouta and Mbed Fass. Apprehended on the night of April 10, 2026, a search of their residence led to the recovery of two wigs. Confronted by the victims, they were formally identified and ultimately confessed to all the alleged acts.
