Une élève-mère commande un médicament en ligne pour interrompre sa grossesse
Wrapped in a white lace dress and a beige head scarf, RF, 23, could not contain her tears as she stood before the Mbour High Court. A first-year student at Toglou High School, she expressed only regret and remorse before the flagrante delicto court.
The young woman explained that she met a driver named Ibrahima, without knowing anything else about him. Last August, noticing that her period was late, she said she went online before ordering misoprostol from Dakar for 25,000 CFA francs to terminate her pregnancy.
"If you get sick, do you have to buy your medication online? Abortion isn't legal in Senegal. You already have two children. Why didn't you let this pregnancy continue?" the chairwoman asked him.
Faced with these questions, RF claimed that she was receiving threats from her partner, before he disappeared, leaving her alone to face her situation.
The prosecutor requested strict application of the law.
The decision is expected on Tuesday, August 26.
