Verdict : Ndella Madior Diouf va passer la Tabaski en famille malgré sa condamnation
She will finally spend the Tabaski holiday with her family. Ndella Madior Diouf learned her fate this Tuesday, May 26, 2026, following the verdict delivered by the Dakar court in the so-called "SOS Keur Yeurmandé" case.
In his verdict, the judge pronounced the outright acquittal of El Hadji Sène, Djiby Sow and Koumakh Diaham on all the charges against them.
Regarding the main defendant, Ndella Madior Diouf, the court reclassified the charge of illegally practicing medicine as impersonating a doctor. She was ultimately found guilty of this offense, as well as involuntary manslaughter. For these acts, the judge sentenced her to two years' imprisonment and a fine of 500,000 FCFA. However, she was acquitted of all the other charges in the case, which allows her, due to the time already served in pretrial detention, to regain her freedom.
In the same case, nannies Awa Mbaye, Fanta Cissokho, and several other co-defendants were given three-month suspended sentences for failing to assist a person in danger. Assistant Cheikh Tidiane Ndiaye received a three-month prison sentence.
For the defense counsel, represented by lawyers Ousseynou Gaye, Youssou Camara and Aboubacry Barro, Ndella Madior Diouf should have benefited from a general acquittal due to reasonable doubt.
