African Media Awards : Les moments forts du journaliste de Seneweb Moustapha Toumbou avec le trophée Alkebulan
Last night in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Senegal shone at the African Media Awards 2025. For the first edition, journalist Moustapha Toumbou of Seneweb won the prestigious “Golden Alkebulan” trophy in the category of Best Report on African Nature.
Well-deserved recognition for his remarkable work on "Diokhor Island: an oasis in distress," which sensitively, profoundly, and rigorously reveals the environmental challenges facing Lake Guiers.
These images capture a significant moment for Senegalese journalism, which is bringing the country to the forefront of the continental scene.
