The Senegalese gospel scene has gained a new, committed, and inspired voice. Born Laure Adama Preira, the artist known as Laure de Jésus has released her debut album, a deeply spiritual work entitled "Jésus, source de ma vie" (Jesus, Source of My Life), available since May 2, 2026. The ten-track album is the fruit of intense work and the result of a collective effort. The artist herself explains that it was a grueling undertaking with the entire team, from the beatmaker to the backing vocalists, but that the efforts were worthwhile because, by the grace of God, everything turned out well.

Through this album, Laure de Jésus offers much more than just music: she delivers a true testimony of faith. Inspired by her life experiences, real stories, dreams, and everyday moments, her songs exalt divine glory and highlight God's work in people's lives. Musically, the album is distinguished by its wide variety of genres. Blending mbalax, afrobeat, praise, and worship, the artist aims to reach a broad audience, from young people to adults. Her path, though atypical, seems divinely ordained. A science graduate, she initially pursued journalism before returning to her first calling. While she once dreamed of becoming a doctor, she now firmly believes she heals souls through her art. Born in 1999 and having started singing in a choir in 2017, she launched her solo career in 2023 and is now establishing herself as a rising star in Senegalese gospel music.
