MUSIQUE : La chanteuse Ma Sané annonce son retour sur scène
Good news for music lovers and fans of singer Ma Sané. After years of absence, the artist has announced her return to the Senegalese music scene. In a video of herself jogging, the singer invites her fans to the concerts she is organizing on December 13, 2025, at the Palais des Arts in Thiès and on December 20, 2025, at Just 4 U in Dakar.
Ma Sané needs no introduction. As charming as she is talented, the former lead singer of the group Waflash is one of the icons of Senegalese music. With her melodious voice that moves seamlessly from mbalax to world music, Ma Sané is a true "stage animal."
She entered the music world with the creation of the group Waflash in 1990. As the lead vocalist of this Thiès-based band, Ma Sané made her mark and left her indelible mark on Senegalese music. Her style is unique, and all her albums have been universally acclaimed.
Following her marriage to a white man, Ma Sané moved to France where she manages her household. This explains her long absence from the Senegalese music scene, putting the group Waflash into hibernation.
But in an interview with Seneweb, Waflash keyboardist Race announced the group's reunion for musical projects. Ma Sané's return in December 2025 could mark a step towards Waflash's revival.
