Since Monday, Celine Dion fans have been able to register for a chance to win a ticket to her big comeback concert in Paris. But the system set up for the presales quickly caused frustration among internet users due to various problems, including interminable wait times and technical glitches.

On social media, particularly on X, messages of annoyance are multiplying. “There’s a queue just to register for a raffle, which might give you a code to access a presale, where you’ll have to queue again on the day… It’s ridiculous,” sums up one annoyed fan.

“What a mess”

Some internet users claim they had to wait four hours before finally accessing the pre-registration form. “It's looking complicated for the official opening of ticket sales,” says one fan. “Could you please fix the bug on your website? When I click on 'Register,' the system treats me like a robot and I can't continue the process. It's so frustrating,” adds another person.

Those who managed to access the site then faced further difficulties. Several users struggled to complete the steps, particularly because the instructions were only available in French. “I just signed up for the Céline Dion presale, but the site was entirely in French. I can only hope my high school memories are enough to get me through it,” commented one fan.

Some British fans explained that the website was rejecting their postal codes. “Every country in the world is listed in the menu, except the UK,” one of them exclaimed. “What a mess!” Others wondered why they had to provide their bank details when they couldn't yet buy tickets. “When I finally finished waiting for Céline Dion, the website asked for my credit card information. Is that normal? I'm afraid it's a scam.” Meanwhile, the website clarified that cards would not be charged: this information is only used to confirm that you are not a robot.

Celine Dion returns to the stage

Celine Dion officially announced her return to the stage on social media Monday evening with 10 concerts in Paris in September and October, after six years away from the public eye. “This year, I will receive the most beautiful gift of my life. I will have the chance to come see you and to sing for you again,” the singer, who celebrates her 58th birthday on March 30, said in a video message posted on Instagram. She will perform at Paris La Défense Arena from September 12 to October 14.

The singer of “Pour que tu m'aimes encore” and “My Heart Will Go On,” who has sold nearly 260 million albums over four decades, has chosen a residency format: two concerts a week, on Saturdays and Wednesdays, in a covered arena with a capacity of approximately 40,000.
