CAN 2025 : La RTS rappelle ses droits exclusifs et met en garde contre les diffusions publiques non autorisées
The Senegalese Radio and Television Broadcasting (RTS) announced via press release that it holds the exclusive rights to broadcast and publicly view the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), with free access throughout the entire territory of Senegal.
In this regard, RTS informs administrative authorities, local communities, businesses, hotels and restaurants, as well as all event organizers, that any initiative to create a "Fan Zone" or to publicly broadcast matches of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations is subject to prior authorization from its services. This measure applies regardless of the location, whether it be public or private spaces, hotels, restaurants, or institutions.
The public broadcaster therefore invites any interested entity to contact its services to find out about the procedures for obtaining authorization and the conditions governing the rebroadcasting of the signal.
Furthermore, RTS reminds the public that any unauthorized public broadcast constitutes a violation of its exclusive rights. Offenders are subject to bailiff's reports and legal proceedings, in accordance with the applicable contractual provisions.
Finally, RTS management calls upon all stakeholders to act responsibly and diligently. The objective is to guarantee compliance with the legal framework and ensure the smooth organization of broadcasting arrangements related to this major continental event. Management expresses its full availability for any constructive collaboration.
